This series is titled Africa is the Land of Shem; the title is based on the scripture found in Genesis chapter 9, verse 27. It states that Japheth or Yafet will be enlarged and dwell in the tents or lands of Shem. The lands given to Shem after the flood was the entire continent called Africa today.
Hence the name of this project, Africa the Land of Shem. We’re in the writings of Joshua. And yes, we understand this information can be a lot to take in if you are new, but praise the Almighty if He has led you to this revelation, as He did with us, because the time is near.
Paul or another author wrote to the Hebrews or Bantus that when the time they should to be teachers, they have need that one teach them again with the first principles of the oracles of the Creator. The Bantus in that day and today became and have become like those who have need of milk, and not strong meat.
For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
Hebrews 5:13
Anyone still teaching modern-day Christianity and entry-level Bible lessons is using milk and is not skillful in the Word of Righteousness. This is the case because they are babies. No offense to anyone, but sometimes offenses are truths aimed to wake up a soul. However, strong meat belongs to those who are of full age, who have their senses exercised enough to discern both good and evil (Hebrew 5:12-14). So with that…
Try to Understand This!
We concluded the previous post in Joshua 14, verses 6 through 15, Joshua granted Kaleb the lands he’d earned. Joshua granted Caleb Hebron which was previously named Kirjath-Arba, after a great man named Arba of the Anakims! A Canaanite. Therefore, here is an aha moment; the family or tribe of Juda inherited Hebron where King David ruled initially from. The tribe of Juda inherited South Africa and more!
Joshua 15:1
This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah by their families; even to the border of Edom the wilderness of Zin southward was the uttermost part of the south coast.
Where did the children of Edom live?
Genesis 36:6,8-9 KJV
And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob. [8] Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom. [9] And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:
Seir is Zeir or Zair; even today it is a country called Zaire. Today it is called the democratic republic of the Congo. Seir or Zair was from the family of Canaan. Don’t worry about the actual land and border markers that we have today, on the continent of Africa. Instead, just think of it as general areas. This means the border of Juda would go all the way up and meet where the border of Edom began.
Joshua 15:13-14
And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Juda, according to the commandment of the Great Spirit to Joshua, even the city of Arba the father of Anak, which city is Hebron. [14] And Caleb drove thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the children of Anak.
Joshua 15:63
As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Juda could not drive them out: but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Juda at Jerusalem unto this day.
Juda could not get every single Jebusite out of Yerusalema. So they dwell together, and to Jebusites, who are part of the Canaanite family became he was of wood and gatherers of water for the children of Akobe and Juda.
The tribe of Joseph
Joshua 16:1-2
And the lot of the children of Joseph fell from Jordan by Jericho, unto the water of Jericho on the east, to the wilderness that goeth up from Jericho throughout mount Beth-el, [2] And goeth out from Beth-el to Luz, and passeth along unto the borders of Archi to Ataroth,
Remember Bethel? This is on the Namibian side of things.
Joshua 16:5
And the border of the children of Ephraim according to their families was thus: even the border of their inheritance on the east side was Ataroth-addar, unto Beth-horon the upper;
In Djibouti a stream called Horon-Do. It is on the upper east side of Africa today. However, removing the “H” from Horon we get Oron. Oron is a city in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria today, Minister Koko’s home state. Efraim and his territories stretch far and wide!
Joshua 16:10
And they drave not out the Canaanites that dwelt in Gezer: but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites unto this day, and serve under tribute.
Getting the Remaining Parts of the Land
Joshua 18:5
And they shall divide it into seven parts: Judah shall abide in their coast on the south, and the house of Joseph shall abide in their coasts on the north.
Juda were the southsiders of Sub Saharan Africa, and Josef were the northsiders.
Joshua 18:8-10
And the men arose, and went away: and Joshua charged them that went to describe the land, saying, Go and walk through the land, and describe it, and come again to me, that I may here cast lots for you before the Great Spirit in Shiloh. [9] And the men went and passed through the land, and described it by cities into seven parts in a book, and came again to Joshua to the host at Shiloh. [10] And Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the Great Spirit: and there Joshua divided the land unto the children of Akobe according to their divisions.
Try to understand us!
Number one, the children of Akobe were reading and writing because they wrote the description of the land in a book. Two, the children of Juda and Efraim are helping the remaining tribes, about seven of them, to establish lands that are yet claimed. They helped Benjamin:
Joshua 18:11
And the lot of the tribe of the children of Benjamin came up according to their families: the coast of their lot came forth between the children of Juda and the children of Joseph.
Then Simeon…
Joshua 19:1
And the second lot came forth to Simeon, even for the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families: their inheritance was within the inheritance of the children of Juda.
Then Zebulun…
Joshua 19:10
And the third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families: the border of their inheritance was unto Sarid:
This is near the Congo area. They were followed by Issachara
Joshua 19:17
And the fourth lot came out to Issachar, for the children of Issachar according to their families.
Followed by Asher
Joshua 19:24
And the fifth lot came out for the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families.
Then Natal
Joshua 19:32
The sixth lot came out to the children of Naphtali, even for the children of Naphtali according to their families.
Finally Dan…
Joshua 19:40
And the seventh lot came out for the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families.
Lastly, the children of Akobe gave Joshua his land.
Joshua 19:49-51
When they had made an end of dividing the land for inheritance by their coasts, the children of Akobe gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them: [50] According to the word of the Great Spirit they gave him the city which he asked, even Timnath-serah in mount Ephraim: and he built the city, and dwelt therein. [51] These are the inheritances, which Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun, and the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Akobe, divided for an inheritance by lot in Shiloh before the Great Spirit, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. So they made an end of dividing the country.
Therefore the children of Akobe inherited much of the land in sub-Saharan Africa, which is the land of Israel in the Bible. Although they took over the lands in sub-Saharan Africa, many of the Canaanites and other nations still live within those areas. It’s just that from the time of Joshua and the children of Akobe, as they took the lands, the lands were predominantly controlled by the children of Akobe. All of this is in the land of Canaan, south of Egypt and Kush, what we would call sub-Saharan Africa today.
