Africa is the Land of Shem: Get Out of Your Country

Welcome to BibleStudyMinistry.com, your online Bible Study Supplement Source. This series is titled Africa is the Land of Shem; it is based on Genesis chapter 9, verse 27. It states that Japheth or Yafet will be enlarged and dwell in the tents or lands of Shem.

The lands given to Shem after the flood was the entire continent called Africa today. Hence the name of this project, Africa the Land of Shem. We’re skipping ahead to the days of Abram. Yes, we understand this is a lot to take in if you are new, but praise the Almighty if He has led you to this revelation, because the time is near.

Paul or another author wrote to the Hebrews or Bantus that when the time they should to be teachers, they have need that one teach them again with the first principles of the oracles of the Creator. The Bantus in that day and today became and have become like those who have need of milk, and not strong meat.

13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

Anyone still teaching kiddy Bible lessons is using milk and is not skillful in the Word of Righteousness. This is the case because they are babies. No offense. However, strong meat belongs to those who are of full age, who have their senses exercised enough to discern both good and evil (Hebrew 5:12-14). So with that…

Try to Understand This!

Genesis 12:1-3

1 Now the Great Spirit had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: [2] And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: [3] And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

The modern-day father of the faithful is Abram. In the passages above, he was commanded by the great spirit to leave his country, and to go away from his people at his fathers house to the land that he will be shown. There, the great Creator will make him into a great nation, and will endow him, and make him famous. He did as he was commanded.

Genesis 12:4

So Abram departed, as the Great Spirit had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

Genesis 12:5-7

And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother’s son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came. [6] And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land. [7] And the Great Spirit appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the Great Spirit, who appeared unto him.

Abram is now in the land of Canaan. Where is that today? Where was that then? Let’s see if you can try and understand this.

Genesis 12:10

And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land.

Where is Egypt today? Where was Egypt back then?

Abram was not forthright with the Pharaoh concerning Sara, so he dismissed Abram from the land of Egypt.

Genesis 12:18-20

And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife? [19] Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way. [20] And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him: and they sent him away, and his wife, and all that he had.

Where did Abram go from there?

Genesis 13:1,3

And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south. [3] And he went on his journeys from the south even to Beth-el, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Beth-el and Hai;

He went back to where his place was before the famine when he left Canaan to go to Egypt.

Genesis 13:7

And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram’s cattle and the herdmen of Lot’s cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.

In case you missed it, he left Egypt and went South! He went south returning to where the Creator, the Almighty showed him when he left his fathers house in Mesopotamia.

Genesis 13:12

Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.

Now the husband of Sara is in the land of Canaan and he’s visited by the Almighty.

Genesis 13:14-18

And the Great Spirit said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: [15] For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. [16] And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall thy seed also be numbered. [17] Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto thee. [18] Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the Great Spirit.

Abram is living in Hebron, which is the same as Mamre which is south of Egypt. Can you understand this? If so, then you have a general understanding that the forefather of the faithful of the three major religions in the Earth initially left Egypt and journey south into the Canaan land. This means that anything south of Egypt as far south as south Africa is what would be considered the land of Canaan. Thus the land given to Abram and his descendants is all of sub Saharan Africa. Try to understand this!

The remainder of the book of Genesis takes place on the African continent. Abram and his son, Isaaka, and his son Akobe are all born on the African continent. Their children were born on the African continent. They turned into a nation on the African continent in Egypt. And they left Egypt and returned to the same land promised to them through Abram, who was promised the land of Canaan by the Creator! This land was and is sub-Saharan Africa as far south as south Africa.

  1. I want to grasp this concept(based on scripture); however, it’s not popular and the maps are screwed up. I am open.

    1. Khal D., it is certainly not popular, but it will be forced into curriculum very soon as the wars, disease, and earthquakes continue around the world. Chew on it delicately until the texture is palatable.
