Genesis 13: Abram and Sarai Move to Hebron

After Abram and Lot had gone their separate ways, the Almighty said to Abram:

Look around to the north, south, east, and west. I will give you and your family all the land you can see. It will be theirs forever! I will give you more descendants than there are specks of dust on the earth, and someday it will be easier to count those specks of dust than to count your descendants. Now walk back and forth across the land, because I am going to give it to you.

Abram took down his tents in Bethel and Ai and went to live near the sacred trees of Mamre at Hebron, where he built an altar in honor of the Almighty.

What is the major point of this content shared in this portion of Genesis 13? The Creator gifted Abram all the land he could see when he left Egypt, returning to the land of Canaan in the south. He went from Bethel to Hebron, gifted all the land he could see in every direction.

Remember, When Abram Left Egypt He Went South!

He went south, back to Canaan? This means Canaan land is south as in Sub-Saharan Africa. This is the land Abram was given, in all directions.

We will explore more.

Until next time, be strong and very courageous, and may the Great Creator be with you.
