Abram: Leave Burkina Faso – Your Father’s House

Genesis Chapter 12

Genesis 12:1 Now the Great Spirit had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 4 So Abram departed, as the Great Spirit had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother’s son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; they went forth to go into the land of Canaan, and into the land of Canaan they came.

Abram is leaving Mesopotamia or Ur and is headed for the land of Canaan. It should be settled that Shem and his children predominantly settled in lands on the western side of the continent.

That is West Africa friends!

Abram’s father was Tera, and his grandfather was Naor. To this day, their villages and towns are still named after them in Niger and Nigeria. Tera lived in what is called Burkina Faso today, and according to many local sources, Burkina Faso means “Father’s House.” How magical would that be? Thus, we have an exact location from which Abram is leaving. He is leaving the Burkina Faso, Niger, Nigeria area and headed for Canaan or Kanaanland.

Allow this to soak in for a moment.

Let us continue at verse 6:

Verse 6, And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanites were then in the land.

There is a geographical location in Namibia. It is Seeheim, Namibia, which is present-day a town in the country Namibia. This is Sichem in the Bible, the land Abram passed through on his way to the plain of Moreh. And when he got there he realized the Canaanites were in the land. Sichem would be present-day Namibia. The plain of Moreh is today known as the plain of Moriah, which is in the modern-day Mbombela area in South Africa. We will express this more as we go through the land.

Remember the theme of this is to relearn the scriptures from a geographical standpoint. We have inherited lies, as the prophet Yaramaya (Jeremiah) had written. Therefore, many of the names of places have been reworked, twisted, changed, or removed.

At this point, the Great Spirit appeared to Abram and promised him the land of Canaan.

Verse 8, And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: there he built an altar unto the Great Spirit, and called upon the name of the Great Spirit.

Bethel (today) is on the southwestern side of modern-day Namibia. It is sometimes known as Luz; Luz is Bethel in the land of Canaan. He built an altar there and called on “the Great Creator of Bethel.”

Before he could get settled, the land began to go through a drought. He and his wife had to leave Canaan, so they headed to Egypt. The Pharaoh in Egypt at that time was Sehertawy Intef the First (see Wiki under Intef 1).

Intef 1 was the first member of the 11th Dynasty who laid claim to a Horus name. While he was in Egypt, he was not sure of the morality of the people. He knew his wife, Sarai was a very beautiful woman, so he told the locals she was his sister. While there, Abram told the then Pharaoh, Intef 1, Sarai was his sister, and she is taken into Pharaoh’s house to become one of his wives.

However, the Great Creator punished Pharaoh and his household with plagues until they realized the truth about Sarai and Abram, and released Sarai and her husband.

They are sent away, still with the gifts and pleasantries bestowed upon Abram as the dowry for Sarai. The important relearning point is at the very beginning of chapter 13.
